Driveway Paving in Montreal- Experience the Quality!
Greater Montreal's housing stock is unlike anywhere else in Quebec — heritage triplexes with shared lanes, post-war bungalows on tight lots, and contemporary infill builds that demand sharp, modern lines. A driveway here isn't just a place to park; it's the first thing visible from the street, the surface that has to absorb a winter's worth of plowing, salt, and freeze-thaw cycles, and often the only impervious surface a city permit will let you keep. We've been designing and installing driveways across Montreal since 2011, and every one of them is engineered for the block it sits on.
At Groupe Zamco, we take pride in delivering high-quality driveway paving in Montreal, with tailored solutions designed to enhance durability, functionality, and curb appeal.

Driveway paving is more than just a necessity; it's an extension of your property's identity. And Groupe Zamco understands that a well-paved driveway can intensify the overall look of your building while providing practical benefits-
-
Enhanced Aesthetics: A beautifully paved driveway adds charm and elegance to your property.
-
Improved Durability: Quality materials and skilled craftsmanship ensure that your driveway will withstand the pressure of vehicles and the harsh Montreal winters.
-
Increased Property Value: Professional driveway paving is a proven way to enhance your home's marketability.
Why Driveway Paving in Montreal is Important for You?

Why Driveway Paving in Montreal is Different?
Most contractors will sell you the same driveway whether you're in Anjou or Ahuntsic. We don't. Here's what changes from neighbourhood to neighbourhood, and why we think it matters:
Heritage districts (Plateau, Outremont, Westmount, Old Montreal)
Lot lines are tight, lanes are shared, and many properties fall under heritage restrictions that limit colour, joint width, and material choice. We work with the city's permit office on every job and design driveways that read as period-appropriate — often with traditional clay-tone Techo-Bloc Villagio or Permacon Roma pavers laid in a herringbone or running bond pattern.
Post-war neighbourhoods (NDG, Verdun, Saint-Michel, Rosemont)
Driveways here are typically 8 to 10 feet wide and 30 to 50 feet deep, often with a side entrance to a detached garage. Drainage is the silent killer — these lots were graded for the original asphalt and water now pools at the threshold. We re-grade before we re-pave, and that's a non-negotiable.
West Island & Île-Bizard
More space to work with, longer driveways, and homeowners who increasingly want stamped or large-format slab pavers like Techo-Bloc Industria. Snow management on a 60-foot driveway is its own design problem; we build with the snowblower's path in mind.
Contemporary infill builds (Griffintown, Nuns' Island, Mile-Ex)
Architects are designing the house, the landscape, and the driveway as one piece. We collaborate directly with the design team, often using oversized smooth-finish slabs, charcoal-tone large-format pavers, and integrated linear drains.

Our Four-Stage Montreal Driveway Process

1
Site assessment and grade survey.
Before we quote anything, we walk the property. We look at how water moves now, where the city drain sits, where snow gets piled in February, and whether your existing slab can be retained or has to come out. For most heritage properties we also pull a permit-feasibility check before signing anything.
2
2D & 3D design in our showroom.
We meet at our 1863 Boul Des Laurentides showroom and walk through the design in 2D layout and 3D rendering. You see exactly what your driveway will look like with its inlay borders, lighting, and any drainage channels — before a single stone is ordered.
3
Materials and inlay selection.
We hold full sample panels of Techo-Bloc, colour matching to your house's brick, fascia, and trim is done in natural daylight against actual building materials, never under fluorescent showroom light.
4
Build.
Demolition, sub-base preparation to a minimum of 8 inches of compacted 0–3/4" stone, geotextile membrane, screed bedding, paver installation, polymeric sand jointing, and final compaction. Most residential Montreal driveways are completed in 3 to 7 working days, weather permitting.
5
Finish
Complete! Your property is not ready to be enjoyed.
