The South Shore — Brossard, Longueuil, Saint-Lambert, Boucherville, Saint-Bruno, Greenfield Park — is one of the most active hardscape markets in Greater Montreal. Newer construction, larger lots, and homeowners who invested heavily in their properties during the last decade are now ready to invest in the outdoor spaces that surround them.
Groupe Zamco works with South Shore homeowners on custom hardscape projects — patios, driveways, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, fire features, pools, and complete backyard transformations. Every project is designed in 3D before construction begins, so you see exactly what you're getting before a single stone is laid.
What South Shore Homeowners Are Building
Pavé-uni patios — The South Shore's newer housing stock pairs well with large-format pavers and clean, contemporary design. Techo-Bloc Umbriano in charcoal and smooth-finish profiles are among the most requested materials. Multi-level terrasses with integrated seating walls, built-in planters, and steps down to the yard are the most common project type we see in this market.
Driveway replacements — Many South Shore properties were built with asphalt driveways that are now showing their age. Interlocking pavers are the upgrade — longer lifespan, better freeze-thaw performance, and significantly better curb appeal. We work with Techo-Bloc Borealis, Raffinato, and Industria for most South Shore driveway projects.
Retaining walls — South Shore lots often have grade changes that require engineered retaining walls. We build with Techo-Bloc Pisa II and Libre systems, properly engineered for height and drainage.
Outdoor kitchens and fire features — Brossard and Saint-Lambert homeowners in particular are investing in full outdoor living spaces. A built-in kitchen with integrated fire pit and lighting extends the usable season and becomes the centrepiece of the property.
Pool surrounds — Pool installations are common on South Shore lots, and the surround design is where most of the visual impact lives. We design the coping, deck, and transition to the rest of the hardscape as a single cohesive plan.

How Much Does a Hardscape Project Cost on the South Shore?
Pricing varies by scope, site conditions, and materials. General guidelines:
A mid-size patio (500–800 sq ft) typically runs $15,000–$25,000
A large or multi-level terrasse starts at $25,000 and can reach $60,000+
A driveway replacement runs $15,000–$35,000+ depending on length and material
A retaining wall starts around $8,000 for a simple single-tier system
A full backyard transformation — patio, kitchen, fire feature, lighting, and pool surround — ranges from $60,000–$150,000+
We have a $10,000 project minimum. Every project includes a free on-site consultation and a detailed, transparent quote — no surprises.
